  • I am a skilled reporter, writer, and editor with a primary focus on the food system. My expertise is in telling stories that illustrate how food production and consumption are tied to public health, social justice, and environmental impact.   • My work has appeared in numerous publications (online and in print) including The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Guardian, Mother Jones, Eater, Edible Manhattan, and Saveur. For three years, I also I also hosted and produced more than 100 episodes of The Farm Report on Heritage Radio Network.

  • Before I began covering the food system, I was a reporter and editor covering health and wellness for publications including Women’s Health, Cosmopolitan, and Well+Good.

  • I have a master's degree in Magazine Journalism from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism and a bachelor's degree in Sociology from Northeastern University.
