Copywriting, Editing, and Content Strategy

At Nutritious Life, as Editorial Director, I initiated and oversaw an overhaul of the website’s content. I brought in a fresh editorial voice, established new content standards and a uniform style, developed systems for publishing and content promotion, and worked on audience development projects, all while creating and editing daily content. In less than three years, the website was recognized as a Webby Award Honoree.

For 5+ years at Well+Good, in addition to writing countless stories, I managed editorial operations, including maintaining an editorial calendar, assigning and editing stories, managing junior editors and freelancers, and working with contributors to develop reporting and writing skills. As the company’s first employee, I was also involved in all aspects of operating and growing a journalism start-up, including editorial strategy, design decisions, building and maintaining content partnerships, social media strategies, and sponsored programs and content. The publication is now a leader in its space, and the business was purchased by a large media company.

I have worked on content packages—including taglines, brand voice, and much more—for several brands, including CarleyK and HealthKick. I have also worked on reports that synthesize programmatic offerings, experiences, and scientific research for non-profit organizations, including the Stone Barns Center for Food & Agriculture and the Climate Leadership Initiative.
